Developed in the 1960’s, this wonderfully located waterfront community is an ideal location on Longboat Key.  The neighborhood was developed in five phases and is the first single-family home neighborhood on Longboat Key after leaving the New Pass Bridge onto Longboat Key.  The first phase is distinguished by streets with nautical names, such as Schooner, Cutter and Outrigger.  The later phases have streets with golfing names, such as Putting Green, Birdie, and Wedge lanes.  All homes in Country Club Shores are waterfront except for a few on Bogey Lane that back up to Gulf of Mexico Drive.  Most of the other homes are on canals, the majority with docks, and the remainder are on the bay with wonderful views of the Sarasota skyline and the Ringling Causeway.  The bayfront property, especially on the tip, is the most desirable.  Country Club Shores is a wonderful community if you want to live on the water.

This beautiful community has deeded beach access.  Located on the south end of the island with ideal access to shopping on St. Armand’s Circle, minutes to downtown Sarasota, and across the street from the wonderful Longboat Key Club golf and tennis resort.
