Today I listed a three bedroom residence in the Beachplace community on Longboat Key. It becomes the third listing I have there, a good time to display the community and featured residences in my Home Showcase series. I love this community for its location, amenities, rental policies and you can’t beat the sunset views over the Gulf of Mexico. I reviewed the community in an earlier REALTALKplus™ community spotlight article and REALTALK™ #76 video.

Among the 11 buildings at Beachplace are 336 residences. They rest on 31 acres of landscaped land and took three years to complete construction from 1979 to 1980. My success in sales at Beachplace started with the Arvida Corporation and continued with Coldwell Banker when the community was sold in 1989. In the last 12 months I’ve sold five residences here totaling $4.620 million, an average of $924,000 each.

Beachplace is a 24-hour manned gated community with on-site management. There are three tennis courts on the north end of the community. Other amenities include fitness facilities, heated swimming pool and spa. The recently updated clubhouse showcases Beachplace with its mew activity space.

But the location may be its best draw. Its close proximity to the two Longboat Key Club championship golf courses make this an ideal place to work on your passion of this sport. A short drive to the north is the Avenue of the Flowers Town Plaza with Publix and CVS stores, drive a short distance south and you arrive at St. Armands Circle with its boutique shopping and fine dining. But the best is at sunset, either by gazing at the Gulf from the white sand as the sky turns a brilliant color of oranges and reds, or from your patio in one of the four buildings that overlooks the spectacular views.
